About Our Courses

Our training courses are all interactive and hands-on. Most courses are typically taken in-person, but we do offer online courses in some circumstances. At DuraBante, our courses focus on practical application of the skills taught to the work our clients do every day.

Many of our trainings have already been adapted to address the specific needs of the utility industry; however, our team of experts can adapt these trainings to other industries, as well.

Management Development Training

2 days per phase

Based on direct client input and our own field experience, DuraBante has designed two management development training courses to assist individuals in their career paths. The first course (Phase I) is designed for those who are just starting out in management and are looking to develop foundational leadership and management skills. The second course (Phase II) is built for those with more management experience who are looking to enhance their existing leadership skills and develop a more strategic outlook for organizational improvement. These courses are typically taken in sequence.

In both phases of DuraBante’s management development training courses, our consultants help participants develop the mindset necessary to successfully manage others, learn leadership styles, and apply industry-relevant techniques. Our goal is to prepare these individuals with the necessary knowledge and tools to increase the likelihood of their success at their specific level of management.

Procedure Development Training

2 days

In DuraBante’s procedure development course, participants learn how to use standards and templates to consistently write, review, and maintain effective procedures, as well as how to establish sustainable procedure programs. The course also focuses on the Department of Energy’s recommended human performance factors, which is an important part of the program.

Project Scheduling Training

2 days

Our project scheduling training is designed to be a hands-on training where participants work on their own project as part of the course. During the course, participants gain the knowledge and tools necessary to manage the various factors that impact project schedules. This course has proven to be successful for organizations in the power industry where managing the critical path is vital for the success of a project or outage.

Project Management Training

2 days

Unlike other project management training courses, we focus specifically on the tools and techniques needed to successfully manage projects in the field. Participants will work on their own projects or use a sample project during the course, rather than learning how to take a test.
