The challenge
Background
The Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) of the Department of Labor needed professional technical and administrative support for its IT systems, in particular to monitor, evaluate, and oversee the private-sector vendors running its ERISA Filing Acceptance System (EFAST).
EFAST processes, distributes, and archives Form 5500 Series employee benefit plan filings, supporting EBSA and its partner agencies, the IRS and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, under ERISA and the Pension Protection Act of 2006.
